Make sure your volume is on: "Mindfulness 10 - Close down"

Show transcript

As we arrive back at the gates to Staunton Country Park, whether you are physically in the park or not, we are just going to take some time to end our mindfulness session.

Let's start by changing your focus from inward to outward. Breathe deeply a few times – long inhales and long exhales.

Begin to become aware of your body... Gently move your upper body – shoulders, arms, head, neck. Gently move your lower body – legs, ankles, feet, toes. Just stamp your feet a few times to help you feel more grounded, and rub your hands together to create a tingling sensation. This will get you ready to continue with the rest of your day.

Don’t forget at anytime you can bring yourself back here in your mind or physically and enjoy the calmness and relaxation it brings. We hope you have enjoyed your mindful walk with us.

If you would like to find out more about mindfulness, mental health, wellbeing or the local services related, please visit easthantsmind.org or visit our Havant and East Hants Mind offices in the Leigh Park Community Centre.

Thank you for joining us today, on the mindfulness walk at Staunton Country Park

This is the tenth and final stop on the Mindfulness Trail, back at the park gates where it began. When you are ready, play the audio file and do the Closing Down exercises to get you ready for the remainder of the day.

You can find out more about mindfulness and mental health at www.easthantsmind.org or by visiting the organisation's offices at Leigh Park Community Centre.
