Busy days with a clear result...
So a good day at Staunton is when we've got a big job that we can all sort of get stuck into and there's a lot to be done. And then by the end of it, you can really sort of step back and see what you've done and other visitors in the park notice your hard work, and you feel like you've really achieved something in the day.
I think when all the flowers are sort of starting to go over, it can be quite sad. But then when you really go through and cut everything back and sort all the soil out, then it’s sort of looking forward to the spring again.
It’s always nice when people comment and say they really notice how nice the gardens are coming along. And especially visitors that come all the time and when they make comments, “Oh, it's looking nicer than last year!” You feel like your work is sort of paying off.
