It's important because our volunteers really add value to the park. For example, the conservation volunteers support the Rangers to carry out park maintenance, which means that they can get a much more done. Our research and oral history volunteers help us unearth interesting facts about local history, and our guided walk volunteers bring lots of new people to the park who are keen to learn about the flora and fauna, the history, and just to get outside and exercise.

Recruiting more volunteers and increasing the type of roles that we have means that we can connect more with the local community, and offer more interesting and engaging ways for them to be involved with us.
