When I left school I didn’t know what I wanted to do, so I joined (for those who remember) Bejam Frozen Food. And I worked my way through the ranks to Training Manager. Then from there I had a change of direction, went into social work, did a little stint in Barnardo’s, and then I moved back down to Portsmouth and changed direction again and went back into retail. And then I left there – I was in fact made redundant – and then I took a bit of a break before I applied for the job as caretaker for Staunton Country Farm. And as time developed it overlapped into both the Farm, Staunton Country Park as well as Queen Elizabeth, where I spend all my time!
