Spectacular day and iffy day… iffy day for me was turned up to the coach house to teach a load of little hedgehogs - not literally little hedgehogs but a one-to-five years activity group. Lottie was away, so I was teaching it and the whole of the coach house was flooded. And then you're like, “Ah, where am I going to put everyone?” That was a tricky morning!

Oh, the best day … the best day for me is when you're teaching a group of children and, say, you're doing habitats and they turn around to you and they'll say something like, “This is an ecosystem, Miss, isn’t it?” And you're like, “Yes! Yes it is! You have listened to us! Yay!” And that's it. You have changed one child's thought patterns, and they've understood it. And that for me is it.

Yeah. It's when everything's clicking into place, they're answering all the questions that you're throwing at them, they're asking questions back, and then they're going off onto the school bus, skipping, screaming, “I've had the best day ever!” So that always gives you a big smile at the end.
