My job is important because of that connection with the community, getting a familiarity with an environment that maybe they used to be part of, and maybe they lost that connection. And some of them have built up a timeline with this area. And it's something that they would have been… especially for the area that I work in, in education… it's somewhere that they would have come as a child and now they're coming and they're bringing their children. So they're carrying on that sort of tradition, effectively, and their making this their own, their place.

For me, it's a two pronged thing. I'm very passionate about educating, and educating anybody in just being outside - being outside in your local parks just is so good for you mentally, physically. And if I go away from one day with a child who has just has found something that they've never found before, but is so excited about it, then hopefully you've sowed that seed of nature into them. And I think that's really, really important.
